T'is the season to be jolly!

Hi! I went to an anime convention as an artist to sell my indie merch and I threw my back.

The experience as an artist was actually fun even though I barely made the investment back. To be fair this was the "worst" con I had this year when it comes to money, but a learning experience regardless. Can't win every time!. I always hope to sell a couple of comics at the very least, and it DID happen! Every time I get to share my comic around it's a wonderful day! Also gave away a bunch of free samples, I always love to talk about it with others and discover other artists' comics too. There weren't many this year though!

When it comes to my back, I think it was the worst pain I had to date. I'm very thankful I was with my friends, because if I had been alone it would've been an absolute mess. My friends were super kind and patient with me, and carried everything so I don't hurt myself further. Bless them!!

Now it's been 10 days since the con, and the pain is better, but still going. The frustrating part other than not being able to walk on my own is that it's almost christmas and I didn't get any gifts for my family! I'm sure they'll understand, but it's embarrassing still. I've had back pain this bad before, but it's never lasted this long. Usually after a day or two I can sit and stand up independantly, but today I'm still needing a walker in order to move around. I don't like the idea of being this dependant on others.

An interesting thing is that I had a dream about 3 weeks ago where I was going to university in a wheelchair, and I couldn't get to my classroom beecause there were a lot of arcade machines in the way. I had no idea I was gonna hurt my back only a few weeks later, what a silly coincidende.

I'll keep ya'll updated, let's hope at least I can tolerate a couple of hours at church on the 24th.

Happy holidays!
